It’s National Pistachio Day and I am not near my stove or oven. There is a fully-equipped kitchen where I am, but the pantry is bare. Nor have I found pistachios in the little bodega down the road. I’m on a mission, though. They have some chayotes and want to roast them with pistachios.
In the meantime, I’ve reposted some of my pistachio favorites:
Be creative with your greens; use kale or Swiss chard.
Use your favorite buttercream frosting.
Yum. Make one big bowl and provide many spoons.
If you don’t have fig jam, simply omit from recipe.
